Imagery Award - Peachtree Regional, Duluth, GA, March 18-20
The Robo-Raiders place 25th of 46 teams from across the USA. The team represented Keenan High and Richland School District One extremely well bringing home the award for Imagery. One team from the 46 was chosen and the team was Keenan's Robo-Raiders.
The Imagery award celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration from the machine to the team appearance.
This team was one of the few rookie teams that made a commitment to incorporating Imagery into the overall plan. They were able to put real thought into the look of their robot, their appearance, and even their pit area. They turned their high school mascot into a robot image. But mostly, they built their robot and achieved results together. This team is definitely "the REAL thing."
The Imagery Award is presented to team number 1398!
With 8 rookie teams competing here today, the judges had a very difficult time choosing just one Rookie All-star team! Today, we recognize an outstanding new member of FIRST! Our Rookie All Star Award is presented to a team that formed strong partnerships with the community and involved their entire school in fundraising. This "diamond in the rough" team has brilliance that shines through their 45-team members. This team truly is "the REAL thing".
The Rookie All Star Award goes to Team #1398 - Robo-Raiders
W.J. Keenan High School received a certificate of recognition from the Governor for receiving the Rookie Allstar Award at the Palmetto Regional competition.
